Editorial
Having used the original that this is so heavily based upon, I decided to grab this re-make of the AFG PC12 by Danny Garnier. He’s taken an old favorite of mine and upgraded it to ensure that it has compatibility with FSX. It’s a lot of fun, although I do have to say that not a whole lot has changed with the model…if anything.
It feels a little outdated, in truth. While it still looks when in the prism of FS2004, compared to other editions it just feels old. The quality is as good as it could be given the time that the original was released by. That being said, the fact it’s missing so many important features and lacks any kind of modernization make it quite a toughie to recommend.
That being said, if you are like me and you used the old Pilatus PC-12 yourself, then nostalgia might drive you to this. I had used the old AFG version myself so it was nice to remind myself of what I used to fly around in a few years ago. At the same time, it’s hard to recommend the PC-12 in this model form as it just feels so out of touch with FSX and P3D levels that we’re all so used to by now.
A fine choice if you enjoy a little bout of nostalgia, but this does not really see much in the way of change from its first release all those years ago.

File Description:
Pilatus PC-6C H2 Turbo Porter for FSX by Tim Conrad in a fictional French Army livery. The PC-6C Turbo Porter has been an amazing contribution to the STOL aircraft fleet around the world for decades. It's robust airframe and excellent aerodynamics make the plane very popular for para-drops, but also for supply missions in remote area's throughout the globe. Despite it's age the aircraft is still widely in use. This repaint represents a French Army or Armee de Terre (ALAT) livery. The ALAT operates a batch of 5 PC-6 B2H4's built in 1992 from Montauban. Not exactly the same version but it seems nice to have a PC-6C flying around in similar colours. The registration of this aircraft is fictional: F-MMCF with serial 998. You need the excellent freeware PC-6C H2 Turbo Porter by Tim Conrad in order to use this repaint. Enjoy!
